Winter Wonders

Enjoying the magic of the world blanketed in white!

And experiencing it all again through the eyes of a Wildling.

Our wee snowman Frosty! 😆

Noticing textures and shapes. Watching snow melt on our fingers.

And making ice cream with snow, cacao and maple syrup!

It’s brought back childhood nostalgia for the excitement of snow days, when normal life gets paused and you immerse yourself in the wonders of the present.

Wishing you all slow moments woven among the busyness of the season to simply savor.

  1. Thank you for sharing the wildling magic! What a delight! I watched it twice to enter in. It brought me way back… my earliest memory is eating snow off a tiny pine tree just my size, clumps of big flakes held by prickles. Such sensation!

…and now I have to share a memory from my oldest wildling, when he was 2. An early talker, we were outside on the first very cold day of the year and I watched him watching clouds form as he breathed. He looked at the vapour, and at me, back to the vapour, and finally said:
    “I’m a dragon. I have breath!”

    1. Oh my goodness! Thank you for sharing your wonderful memories as well!!! “I’m a dragon” —that is the best!!!
